Hope’s outreach continues to thrive through the extension of individual members in our congregation, through the work of the Community Outreach Committee, and through the work of the church as a whole.  Very often it is hard to see where one group stops working and another begins.

In Matthew Jesus reminds his disciples that just as they gave food to a hungry person or clothed someone who was cold, they were doing it to him.  We know we are called to care for our neighbors and we don’t look for opportunities to care for others, we make them.  Here are a couple of ways we strive to be Christ to our neighbor and feed Christ in our neighbor, and we hope you will join us.

  • Collection of Food for the Arcade and Delevan Food Pantries

  • Collection of Printer Cartridges for Wild Spirit Environmental Education

  • Collection of Christmas Gifts for adults with disabilities.

  • Care and prayer through Teddy Bear Project.

  • Men’s service retreats to Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Center.

  • Ladies’ donation of quilted lap blankets for nursing homes.

  • Distribution of our Emergency Funds and the Salvation Army’s support to those who need it in our community

  • Host a monthly Care Givers Support Group led by Robert and Sharlene Vossler

  • Host Samaritan Pastoral Counseling (affordable spiritual care)

  • Host groups from Narcotics Anonymous to Child Protective Services as needed

  • And much more.
